Many of you know me. But for those of you that do not here is a little bit about me.

I moved here to the PNW 7yrs ago from AZ. I live in Vancouver WA with my fiance who I've been with for 10yrs. I got my first xj in '08 and began lurking the forums of Naxja. I went through 2 xjs before I got the one I have now. I went red letter in 2010 and have made this chapter an ever present part of my life. Along the way I have made many good friends and made a lot of great memories. It hasn't always been easy as due to my own short comings I've lost a few friends and strained a few friendships. In recent months I've kind of stepped back from a lot of things and tried to focus on doing what I can to help benefit this chapter as well as our hobby. I searched for a way to reach out to other user groups and to promote the NWC more positively. I put in may volunteer hours doing clean ups at la dee flats and took on the challenge of redesigning and routing our adopted trail in the Tillamook State Forest, Saddle Up. I wanted to just do what I could in the capacity available to me at the time.

I see this chapter as a place of refuge and a place to come and exchange knowledge with other like minded people. I know that the NWC already does a five job at giving everyone a positive outlet for coming together over our common hobby.

I believe WE can do so much more than that.

I would like if given the opportunity, to grow the NWC and NAXJA product into a common name within our community. Through working with other user groups and local charities. As well as working with local land managers to open new areas of recreation as well as renewing current ones. I will work to make this Chapter the best it can be.

I promise as your next Vice President to do all that I can to accomplish these goals and to always work hard for you our membership.

I know there are other options to voting for me, and I wish them the best of luck. If I should not be elected VP of this chapter I will continue to do all that I can. I want only what is BEST for this club and I HOPE that you feel I can provide that as your next VP.

Thank you all for your support!

Well done my friend!
Eloquent, concise, and informative.
I cant think of a better person for the position.
....you of course, have my support.

Aaron has been a very active member of the club the last few years, and has sought a more involved role in the last year. He's done a lot for our trail at TSF, and is involved with the work at LaDee. There is a lot to be said for that.

Aaron will do a good job as VP. He's active on the board as well as in our off road community. While he might not have the most reliable Jeep on the board, Aaron himself is reliable. He has the time and energy to do this job, a job he actually wants.

Lets give Aaron aka AwesomeXJ what he wants, a chance to help run the club he loves.

I think he is working on the reliability issues with AwesomeXJ2.0

Dang Darren you should have been a campaigner for the Republican party, maybe they would have one.

I must say that Awesomexj has always been extremely friendly to everyone. Along with Josh he has never been part of either of the clicks on here

Am I not friendly? Wait, didn't I loan you a trailer and comfort you through the trials and tribulations of a starter replacement at nwfest, I would totally hold your hair while you puke.. I thought we were besties?

Wait wasn't that my starter? Didn't he throw everything around in my truck trying to find it (I wasn't there)
Man I was fun having to bugging you to get you to settle up with my starter.

But knock the guys in the "clicks" but there always there helping and giving out parts.

Scott you are friendly and very generous, I must say that Aaron is much more involved in the trail projects. I like you Scott and we are besties but I have to give my endorsement to Aaron barnes.

Well I figure it's due time I say something here.....
I've only known Aaron for a short time.... less than a year. But he has demonstrated a deep care for what happens to the NWC, and how it's represented. He is outgoing and always willing to show just how much the offroad lifestyle means to him. He has been instrumental in the planning, and design process of the new Saddle Up Trail Project, and has continually shown leadership and organizational skills to back up his run for VP in both this endeavor as well as his work with Tread Lightly. In addition to the countless amount of time and labor Aaron has put into our adopted trail, he has been actively supportive of other clubs' projects as well. Although I wouldn't for a moment question Aaron's loyalties to the NWC or the BOD should he be elected, I know that he will continue to be a shining example of what a model member stands for. I wouldn't want any other person as my VP should I find MYSELF as president. I firmly believe that Aaron and I as a team will usher in a remarkable new era of NAXJA's Northwest Chapter should you elect us both....
Aaron of course has MY vote.
