I almost killed a girl tonight...

She was leaving a "church festival". Give me a break, does anyone really believe she was drunk? Im not saying christians dont drink, but I think its unlikely she was drunk at the church festival. I think its more likely she was cackling with her friends and not paying attention to what she was doing.
Anyway, I doubt being run over at 5MPH would have killed her.
The situation sucked but I see this sorta thing everyday. Most people dont even realize how close to disaster they come.
Much ado over nothing.

Friend of mine went to the race at Louden, NH last year. Typical traffic moving at a crawl as they leave to drive home, him and 2 other guys get out to run into the woods to take a piss. Just as he turned to step backwards out of the van (side door) traffic had stared moving and he ended up stepping into the side of a moving tanker truck. He ping ponged between the 2 vehicles a couple times and ended up in front of the van. Only ended up breaking his arm where it hit the truck. Play the what if game with that, couple seconds faster and he would have been in front of the truck, or if he had fallen under instead of remaining upright... Squish.

You can't play the what if game with life, you would end up hiding in a closet in your room for the rest of your life wondering what if...

Exactly,
no sense in worrying about it. The best thing to do is file it away in your brain for future use so the next time you are in or around a similar situation, you can pull this info back out for reference so the same thing doesnt happen again.

No, I'm sure she wasn't drunk, I just meant exactly what you said, that she wasn't being careful, she was trying to balance herself on the very edge of the road, in the gravel, probably in those goofy flipflops that make women walk like they're retarded.

I dunno. My rig is lighter than most, but it's still over 3000 lbs. That right rear would be 750 rolling over a hundred pound girl. Maybe...

And yes, I know my original post was a bit dramatic, and said so already. Of course tragedy is always just a couple of "what-ifs" away. But normally it's if-this and that were to happen.

I was shaken up that this or that or the other thing would have produced streetpizza...

I understand. That comment wasnt really directed at you. I meant it more for those posts that followed yours.

So the question is... Since he alrady had to take a piss... Did the shock of getting hit make him piss himself?

:roflmao:

I wasn't there, but nobody mentioned it so it's entirely possible. He was quite out of it I guess, he "thought he walked into something" but wasn't sure, as he sat there on the tar with bones poking through the skin.

I would have gotten out and screamed at her

Um.... why?

because you shouldnt be carrying mace if you're going to shoot a 12 year old girl in the face for falling over.

i dont carry weapons, i learned as a teen anything you pull out in a fight can be taken away and used against you, these days i just swing for the corner of the jaw with everything ive got, floors most people with one punch.

Honestly speaking I think we might all act different than what we have posted here. The whole mace thing was a complete joke, I only use mace on animals or non-compliant persons in question ("suspects").
And I work with local law enforcement... so there goes that.
It's fine for me to carry my ASP and my mace... etc...
In this situation, I would pulled over and confronted the girl and gone from there because we all dont know if she was really drunk or just acting it. A call to her parents is all what could have been done not only by us but also from local law enforcement (spirt of the law would not let ME put a 12 year old in jail for drinking, I'd just rash it out to the parents)
\done.
