ya i'm looking at the end of the week for power restoration.

We ended up running out on non-stop fire calls from 10:30pm Saturday till I was released at 4:00pm Sunday. I think the count was around 80.
I'm sure there were more calls but I didn't hear them because since I was up running around for 36 hours I slept for the next 15 lol.
I walked through about 30 basements with 1-2 feet of water and pumped out a few with 5 feet...all the while there were 4 other crews doing the same thing. People lost power and the sump pump stopped working so after a little while they had indoor pools.
While I was out, my room (which happens to be in the basement) was flooding because my sump pump wasn't working, and then wasn't working fast enough. But my family didn't sleep at all and fought the water and ended up saving a lot of my stuff (including the pile of parts I've been collecting for my 44 swap). Gotta love em.

No damage here. Never even lost power. Just flickered a couple times.

Still no power here. The neighborhood got hit pretty hard, every street had at least one tree across it. Huge numbers of trees got uprooted. Lines are down everywhere, power company is working on main streets and says our little cul-de-sac streets are lowest priority. Maybe a couple of more days. I have some good pics when power is back

Woke up 6am sunday morning to find what seemed to be little destruction in huntington at my friend Kens. Took a ride with my friend Ron to see if his 65ft lobster boat was still in its slip and not floating about randomly. Its a damn good thing we took his XJ on 37s with a pair of tons under it Ill let the pics explain..
This is the end of the street where the bay meets land, as you can see there is no obvious barier of anysort it was all just now part of the bay!
Docked up the XJ after a few miles of driving down roads that were under about 3ft of water
His boat still right where it needed to be!
Pretty much the entire south shore of longisland got flooded bad! This was on the nautical mile down in Freeport one of the worst spots. Oh and before anyone says anything we were both 100% aware of what the salt water did to the jeep... He said he was going to chance the fluids today and try to wash it as best as possible..

I have one i paid $100 for about 2 or 3 years ago. Used it maybe twice. i'll give it away for free to anyone who can't cook due to power outages.
