In the spring when the grass comes up in the fields, before it's mowed the first time, the tractor trails next to the hedges get overgrown 2-3 feet high. I know there is a trail down there someplace, I drive it every year. I've put branches through a tire, my radiator, tore my transmission cooler lines out and the parking brake cables. I felt the branch go underneath through my feet, but have never had one come through the floorboard.
I really don't think they make them like they used to.

weld it up and keep going..... unless they bent up pedals and brackets it should be pretty simple to deal with, easier than dealing with a branch hopping in to take a ride with your nuts.... Anyplace there is a lot of logging slash or downed timber it's a good idea to watch out, I've scored a hole in the passenger side of my front floorboards and some tire damage going over stuff like that.

2nd page shows the jeans he was wearing.:D

Jesus look at the bruise IT left him with. Im gonna go weld a stell plate under there now

Wow !
That happened to a guy I was wheeling with once. He had a YJ and was throttling through a mud hole. When he came out the other side, He had a 2" diameter branch stuck through his floorboard. It didnt come as close to denadding him as this one but still makes you think.

K, its been three hours since I read this thread the first time and I still can't get the thoughts of that guys belly out of my head. The pain must have been incredible.

I bet its one of the few times you could get racked in the nads though and not have that be the worst pain at the moment.

Boy there is nothing like reading the rest of the story, he is one lucky guy. What does everyone here think of the comments about how thin the firewall and floorboards are on a Jeep? Or does it also have to do with what you are driving over and HOW you are driving over it. The punch thru on my xj was a 1" diameter pine stick that got caught, I stopped because I heard something then looked at my floor....whoops ..... I was going all of about 1mph, it was still enough to get it wedged in tight enough to have to cut the stuff out.... Anyway I'm glad the guy is on the mend and the damage to his rig is reatively minor.

I know after seeing this i a going to be a whole lot more careful about what i drive over. I have been plowing over down trees for awhile and never would of thought that this was a possible outcome.

Soooo...are they making Jeeps out of cardboard now? Lol...jesus...how could you not have heard it breaking through? He must have been driving pretty fast. Ok, just actually read it. I noticed he said he was being "careless" so I guess that means driving a little fast. Man, that sucks. That will definitely be on my mind from now on.
