I suppose we should limit it to actually working ones, more or less in service:

2 xj's = 12
Mercedes, Chevy truck, Volvo = 16
Excavator, bulldozer, two tractors = 15
4 chainsaws in actual use = 4
pressure washer = 1
rototiller = 1
two mowers = 2
shredder =1
two weed whackers =2
two outboard motors = 4
generator = 1

so that's 59 cylinders with some hope of actually firing if needed.

I wouldn't want to have to count the non-working, spare, etc. ones. I have a lot of "resources."

edit: Oops, forgot compressors. A single and double there, so 62.

A quick mental scan of the environs suggests that there are approximately 58 more "not in service" here.

I should count my friend's stockpile. He has a barn full of carb'd running V8s, ford, chevy, amc, studebaker, some weird foreign stuff (batt charger + gas can, they could all run in under an hour) plus a stack of type IV VW motors & at least 20 vehicles that run. I bet he's got at least a thousand cylinders on his 22 acres.
