I'm curious how fast people drive. This is just for every day around time driving.

Please pick from :

Under Speed limit (-10mph)
Under speed limit (-5mph)
At speed limit
Above speed limit (+5mph)
Above speed limit (+10mph)
Above speed limit (Very Spirited)

depends. around town usually on or around the speed limit. sometimes below if i dont feel like shifting...

on the highway. either either 55 or 70. anywhere in between i get vibes... still workin on it...

Usually right on whats posted, and NEVER above 50 anywhere, not after experiancing death wobble. Never again will my Jeep see the highway.

Although I did get both my speeding ticket in my Jeep, and not my little sports car.

I actually drive on average 5-10 over....5 if i'm around town, 9-10 over if i'm on the highway. I don't gun it getting up to speed though, I take off like an old fart...lol.

Oh sure. Make it a public poll so Yellaheep can give us all speeding tickets!

:twak:

like driving miss freakin daisy is how I drive.
52 miles an hour nets me 23 MPG, 60 get's me 20. Not a hard decision.

On da bike, I still manage 50mpg at 70-80 with sprints over 100. When I drove the XJ I was usually at the speed limit or 5 or so over.

Sarge

is that corrected for gearing speeds or what the speedo reads? lol :laugh3:

I do speed limit +5 for the most part...or at least as best I can tell with my fubar'd speedo. Probably increase that to speed limit + 10-15 on rural highways....I just don't trust the idiots on the road enough to go much faster....take away the morons tho, and the right foot gets a little heavier. =)

I voted 10 over cause that's usually about what I do in the Jeep.

In the Mustang or Grand Prix or any car that's not an SUV/truck, move me up to "very spirited" :D

I do always stay within the limits of the vehicle and conditions, I don't swerve, weave, or change lanes frequently. I always signal, and I don't try to go fast when the flow of traffic is slow. I would consider myself a generally safe driver. I'm also convinced that speed limits are only for safety in some areas. In many areas (most notably interstate highways), they're in place solely for generating revenue for the state. Given the right vehicle and road/traffic conditions, one could drive 150mph on today's Interstate system safely.
