How do you carry tools?

When you go to the junkyard, how do you carry your tools around?

I have a messenger bag that everything gets piled into. My girl is going to get a sewing machine and i'm going to have her make me a spiffy bag that's heavy duty.

lol, i use a back pack,

but FYI, sears makes a tool bag/tote for like $20 (cheap and easy)

I use a tool tote from Lowes, they are heavy duty. I have at least 70# of tools in it. I also use a bucket for the bigger things like the battery powered sawzall and cordless drill. Our "Pick-n-pull" has carts to use so i just pile it all up on there. I also sometimes bring the Ultimate Air co2 tank and impact gun if I have big stuff to pull.

I would bring my "smoke wrench" if they would let me, much faster.

I purchased a cheap tool set to carry out to the junk yards .I have added some extra goodies to it .

5 gallon bucket...

I use a wheelbarrow at the pull-a-part. Or a hand truck with a plastic tote strapped to it. Just depends on what I am going to get.

i usually know what im there for and throw what i need in a backpack, if it takes less i get all the free 1 gallon buckets with handles i want from work and use them as tool carriers/ bolt dishes....

This box basically lives in my Jeep, we just transfer it to a wheelbarrow at the JY and go.

I want to get one of these to live in my Jeep as well... My father had one and I loved it, and used the hell out of it...

I have 3 or 4 of these that my trail tools go in:

Best bag for 10 bucks ever.

This one looks nice, too. A bit bigger:

I got a few of the Tanker Tool Bags... Those things are awesome... and they hold quite a bit of weight and hold up to a lot of wear and tear... Hell we use the hell out of them daily at work in the USAF...

I like to bring a friend and pay there way into the yard....if they carry the tools.
--or a backpack.
tried that yesterday @ P-n-P-- the missus told me to "pack it in my pooper"

I ended up wandering around empy handed 'til I found everything I needed and then went and got what I needed for tools from the Heep. That place was packed-- nary a wheel barrow in sight for 4hrs.

Managed to pick up a swingout tire carrier, bumper, factory hitch, and assorted interior trim pieces out along with tools without the help of a cart-- I'm getting to old for that crap!!

I'm thinking of "building" some sort of tool carrier that would combine a hand truck and a tool sack that would resemble carry-on luggage but with the ability to haul some stuff too. Who knows, probably never happen, but it would be nice to throw some stuff in the sack and still have it small enough to bring from vehicle to vehicle without the feeling that I should have a commercial drivers license to move it!

If you want the best:

i use a cheapo set that way if i leave a tool its not expensive to replace. and i take a wagon type deal with my tools strapped to it. i have hauled many axles out on it.
