How many different places do these rock rails (A.J.'s and JCR's) bolt to the XJ? How much to they help the frame?

If you are talking about the box structure that the front and rear axles attach to then the JCR's have 8 per side, spread out on 2 flanges. They also attach pinch seam right under the door or doors with 5 or 6 bolts per side, which is also part the the XJ frame.
See the website at jcroffroad.com, pic's and installation manual in pdf format

(yes Mark, I'm pimping your crap... get my rails to me, beotch).
