my 4x4 club is doing a hollister campout june 17, 18, & 19. any NAXJA types want to join in on the fun? there is only 1 other xj in the club so it would be cool if some naxja'ers want to show up, campout, & attack the trails & obstacles for a fun weekend.

What is the cost to camp? Facilities of any sort?

Ten bucks a night. Has free showers and bathrooms. I love it there.

Depends on finances..

What time you gonna be there on Friday? I got the day off and will likely come over either Friday or Saturday.

I was going to come down for the day saturday, but somehow I got rescheduled to attend and go bankrupt at some flooring sale :banghead:

dont forget to bring your camera. video is good too

Unfortunately with family issues I have to decline.

My brother and I are cruising out to Hollister and will be there around 11:15am on Sat to meet up with Tim and his buddies. Anyone else going?

Wish I could, but still haven't cut down my front drive shaft to length and my junks sitting in the garage getting a new thermostat today. And let me echo Sean, post pics!

I'm loading the tow rig now and leaving the east bay in about an hour. Should roll in no later than 5. Bringing the two kids and wife, so timeframes are out the window. :) Which jeep are you in Tim? I'll be towing mine down, so I hope you recognize mine. CB channel?

Good times today at Hollister but it is super dusty out there. We didn't run too many trails today because we were helping a kid fix the steering box in his Cherokee for an hour or two. He snapped all 3 bolts on a simple fire road and luckily Tim had some spares back at camp. Used some vice grips to get the bolts out of the box, then got him fixed up and on his way. Pics later.

The frame twister in the old obstacle course is really dug out and very deep between the logs; I've never seen it so deep. There were also some deep sink holes in the old obstacle course - maybe 2 or 3 feet deep - was kinda weird. White Rock Hill was also very silty and difficult to get up even with both lockers. Tires would spin and we were moving like an inch per minute.

SO.. how was this?

we had a great time. some minor carnage on my red p.o.s.
i smashed the rear pass door pretty bad, ripped one shifter cable & damaged the other, cracked a d60 spindle, broke tranny mount, & blew a seal on my steering gear. run times!
