HO or not the HO?

How can you tell if you have the HO motor?

Well the head casting numbers are
91-95 is 7120
96-99 is 0630
00-06 is 0331

If you look around you can find a chart with block casting codes too. Im going to say the engine you are trying to ID must not be in the vehicle? Because if it is the manifolds and controls look way different. If its in the jeep post a picture and we can help.

It's in the jeep. I'll take a pic later after work. My buddy has a 94 HO. Would they be similar or no?

Although i guess it could have a swapped motor, easiest way to tell for me is to look at the vacumme hoses and throttle body. If the throttle body has 3 bolts connecting it to the mani then its a non HO, 4=HO...
Even then i guess some twak job could have mixed and matched things like me so the most accurate would be to check castings using what Norcalchris posted. But those are all HO castings. The renix/non NO casting is 2686 :lecture:

If it has an egr valve on the intake manifold its not an HO

@Mike, I'm asking bout a 99 Cherokee classic that used to be 2wd. I think i have enough info to figure it out now though. Thank you everybody.

oh yeah yours is most def a HO...which is the bees knees.

Hopefully you have the stonger 0630 head casting.

I XXXXING love bees knees!!! And ill check LOL. It's also got an after market header thiat o don't recognize
