hey guys what is up? just picked up a cherokee for a sweet deal and now im ready to lift the sucker up!

but i have no idea what kind of suspension i need lol

Leaf springs are totally new to me.

anyway ya oh i have this axle called a Chrysler Corp 8.25?

they guy who gave it to me said it is a 27 spline open diff

completely Chinese to me lol.

I heard its worth a pretty penny?
idk but if it comes down to it i guess anyone selling there old lift kit can maybe trade for it plus cash or something.

but ya it feels good to be i a Jeep!!

Welcome to the craziness!

Post up some pics and get ready to learn alot! There are lots of folks here with tons of experience and knowledge.

Figure out your Jeep first! What do you have to work with? What type of wheeling and other duties is it used for? And of course, budget.

These things will help you decide the height of lift, tires, gears, and other mods you will want to do.

I recommend starting off with tow points front and rear and rock rails. Then start wheeling!

Get out to a meet and greet and see what other folks have.

What year rig?

Chrysler 8.25 27 splines arent worth a pretty penny. 29 splines in the late models are worth more than 27 splines due to strength but still come really cheap. Dana 44s, Dana 60s, Ford 9 inches, Corp 14 bolts are worth pretty pennies.

Sell the Jeep, run away, forget you came here. The XJ is a silent parasite, it will suck all the money out of your wallet, slowly, over time, you won't even notice until you are an empty shell.....
 
welcome - i agree w/ others, run as fast & far as u can from the jeep - if u don't, you'll be totally addicted to great friends & great wheelin, w/ absolute great advice/assistance.

We're really not all that nice around here. We encourage denting, scratching, and cutting perfectly nice Jeeps.. :D

As said before, we don't take to kindly to people who announce their new arrival and don't post pics of their XJ. :P

ummm why wouldnt a jeep all of a sudden not start?
its just cranks and wont kick over.
the cps was just replaced with the trans that was just put in by a trans shop.

now it wont start!!! what else can blow up lol?

I do alot of fab work and gears and stuff for people on here. If you need some help hit me up.
