if it's the same tool I made... like 3 feet of iron pipe, a d30 axle nut, and a d30 axle nut washer + 30 seconds with the welder. Worked out great for me.

got a picture of that? i have a hard time envisioning it in my head

yep thats it! minues the washer...should have used the so i didnt keep sliding through the adjustment collar...

thanks for mentioning the d30 shaft nut in one of your posts a while back!

Dukie- here is the link to the tool http://flipflopfabrication.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-to-make-your-own-chrysler-825.html

i picked up the 7/8s nut but it was to small especially when you had to torque the nut i see bad things happening...so i searched and found kasteins advice about the axle shaft nut...fit like a glove

awesome

I didn't use one either, it was a pain in the ass :anon: if I have to use it again I'm throwing one on there. I was going to put it on but I couldn't find an extra sitting around so I just went without.

I forget who I got that info from but suffice to say I am not the one who thought of it.

went to fix the bubling cab corner on the Ford, ripped off a chunk of shitty bondowed sheemetal, there was some spray foam inside, cut everything bad out.

made a patch panel out of 12 ga sheetmetal, a bit overkill but i had a scrap piece laying around, fit mint and needed very little bondo, prob clear coat it next week, outs of money at the moment

then drive it to HD for hose clamps for the CAI

Got my gas turned back on, took my first hot shower in a month, splooged about 140lbs of type S mortar on the basement wall and installed some J-bolts so I can bolt the furring strips for the new 4'x4' main panel and auto transfer switch mounting board down.

I'm gonna have this shit set up beautifully by the time I get power back... :gee:

Yesterday, I sold the 33" snows off the 5.9 and swapped on rollers. On the red ZJ, I tightened up all the TRE's in the front end because I thought one was clunking- turns out it was my caliper moving on the bolts on the D/S. Replaced the 760x on the passenger side, two caps had no needles left, then found a bad wheel bearing, so that got a fresh Timken from Autozone.

did any of that stop the over-heating?
