So 3am didnt happen... up at 5am to fire up smoker. Porkbutt went in around 6am.
I think either my thermometer on door is not accurate or the rub i used has high sugar content, possibly both. 6 hours at 225, spraying with apple juice every 1-1.5hrs and new chips every two. Cin came home from market and got me a meat thermometer (my other was broken in packaging) and i inserted it.. i was already over 175* internal temp. I'm gonna skip the foilwrap (suggested at 160 to 195-205) and just go to 200ish.
I did notice with the ribs and the pork roast i'v done that i seem to be cooking faster than most report.. i gotta test that door thermometer.
I can see i would have preferred a smoker with glass door to keep my curiosity at bay..

So yeah, i finally found a hobby that makes the entire family, friends and neighbors all happy!

Then I slapped these together with full circles and tacked the caps. I ordered the USA standard shafts from Randy's for my inners, and they came through with Yukon tags and part numbers on them, but for half the price.
Maybe my shitbox will do cool stuff now instead of suck.

No pictures, but I installed the front 5.9 leathers in the XJ, along with the rear leather seat I bought probably 3 years ago for the green XJ and never did anything with. Not only does it look much nicer, but it's 10x more comfortable. I even got crazy and 'fixed' the back hatch so it will open again!

Spent the entire day fabricating and welding in rust repair panels on a toyota hilux and moving damn near everything out of a friends auto shop We finished up at like 4AM so I didn't even bother going to sleep. Gonna miss having a dry cement floor to work on...
