Help Needed, Engine Guru's/Builders Enter Please?

if you need a replacement engine why not just bore it. and put it back together. install it with stock cam and save your money and actually research and plan a good stroker. My 4.7 has been in the plans since last june. Im slowley buying parts and researching tons and tons of builds. I have a 0331, 7120, and a renix head, renix and HO blocks. Im a perfectionists so when it gets done its gonna get done correctly. So im researching which one to do.

heres my build:

96+ 4.0 block (casting # 53020569)
91-95 4.0 ported head (casting # 7120)
I might use a ported 0331 head or Hesco's aluminum head.
72-80 4.2l Crankshaft (casting #3214723)
4.2l rods shot peened and balanced (707 casting?)
mopar performance head gasket (0.043)
Clevite bearings (cam, main, rod)
Balanced Speed Pro h825cp pistons + 0.060"
Hastings piston rings
camshaft has yet to be determined. I still need to plug the numbers in on the computer (what are you running?)
valve springs TBD after cam
Roller rockers
Mopar Performance High volume oil pump #P4529241
Pioneer freeze plugs
hi flow water pump or not.
99+ intake
62mm throttle body
cold air intake (thinking about moving filter into the cowl) and keeping the stock set up for smog, unless I can find a CARB legal intake of my liking)
Ford injectors with a adjustable regulator
Cloyes dual roller timing set
Borla header
2.5in down tube w/ 2.5 in/out cat and spin tech muffler.
MSD 6AL ignition box w/ rev limiter, blaster coil, wires.

I'll be using a Comp 68-231-4 wether its stroked or not. But I do alot of high speed dirt roads & such and spend alot of time above 3500rpm. So thats where I want my power. I may start pulling a tiny trailer thats barely big enough for 2 dirt bikes. So it might be 1200lbs with the bikes loaded?
And that would only be a couple times every summer so I won't have an issues with my cam choice.
Im building it for where I spend most of my time. 3000rpm+:firedevil

The more time I spend on JeepStroker the more I start thinking about have 2 strokers. And with the beating my jeep/motor takes its porbably a good idea. So Im :geek:4.6L builds...(I've been waiting to use that smiley) to get a parts list.
If I do end up doing a 4.6 then it will be done right. Zero deck & perfect quench..I'll just have to get the pistons dished to 25+cc to keep the compression ratio in check. And I guess 91oct in the summer isn't that bad as long as I can run 87oct. in the winter where I'll be taking it easy. So this might be the new plan.

Here's my build: 350cid LT1 with open chamber heads for 9.5:1 compression. Runs great on 87 octane. Inexpensive and reliable, easy to scrounge up. Cheers!
