just got these 2.0x10 dual bypasses for the zj. needed some help finding a spot to mount them and help on asjusting the shocks. first off will cutting a hole in the red dot i made weaken anything? i was thinking of cutting into there and mounting the rezzy in the engine compartment.

also this is my first set of bypasses and was just wondering if you all could show me my way around these shocks like adjusting them and the options i have. thanks.

option 1 cutting a hole in either dot.

option 2

1. i wouldn't go with option 2 that seems like a recipe for the tire getting it.
2. i'm not sure about ZJ's but i've mounted a couple up behind the fender out of the way before maybe thats an option.

I wouldnt mount them like you have it in your second pic... the tire will eat them up...It might not look like it when your at ride height but once you start cycling the suspension it will get the resi.

Maybe like this? Or on the shock? Thats how i ended up mounting mine.

Also watch out with your brake lines with the bypass tubes, on mine when the suspension went up and i had the wheels turned my brake line would hit and it broke the red circled part in the pic.. just a heads up.

Tied to the shock body is good. A rock got up between our tire and shock once and pulled the resi off though. Up high in the fenderwell towards the front is good. Go look at some of the build pics. Don't mount the resi in the engine compartment.

This is where I put mine, tucked up under the glass fender's bulge. Not sure if you have room on the ZJ but maybe it will help you look at alternatives.

as said above don't mount it in the engine bay, heat is bad.

yeah that upper mount is gettin done next week. hows this for mounting? if i run the hose up under my fender isnt that just as bad to have the hose running up the fender well n being exposed?? also i have bumps so my wheel only cycles up about 6-7inches and wont hit the hose.

option 1. checked everything and it wont hit here

or option 2.. tucked under the fender.

or at this point are they both good and i just have to pick my favorite?

I like what mikes has going on. I don't think the hose will get hot in the engine bay, or at least noticeably hot...
