This past weekend was a blast! Nick(Gator4x) and Jason made it there last Friday night and we went and hit the trails almost right. Nick left his jeep at camp and rode along. Went and got a little muddy and broke my 30,000lb. strap tugging on a broncoII.
Saturday we spent the day around camp enjoying our vacation and went for a ride for supplies and a new strap. A hundred dollars later we were back at camp with a new 27,000lb. strap and more beverages.
After waiting for some friends to show up we finally got to go for a night ride. Not even ten minutes into it the good old GEN light comes on and it is a dash back to camp before it dies.
Sunday was an interesting day. Right away Mike and I take a trip to the closest open junkyard and get a new alternator and head back and install it. Great!! Time to wheel.
Nick and Jason left Sunday evening and headed home for a good nights sleep. Meanwhile I decided to have a few more drinks to keep the evening going strong and things got interesting.
Damage report from Sunday late night:
two badly damaged rims and one tire,
something wrong with the steering box,
track bar bent badly,
lower right control arm mount on the axle is pretty much toast,
two burnt up alternators,
front driveshaft is making some pretty loud noises,
and I am sure I will find some more tomorrow.
Oh yeah, and I drove it home.

Took awhile but made it under its own power. Yeah I know it sucks without pictures. Give me a little time on that. Nick and Jason, thanks for showing up and partying with us. We had a great time and look forward to the next campfire or two.
Kim.
