I'd really like to do a stroker with my 89 as it has 250k miles and is due for a rebuild but I'm sure it's not a very cheap project.
Body damage usually refers to the body of the vehicle, not lower control arms and sliders that is probably where the confusion came from.
They are usually the most fun also lol:skull1:Probably so... Even still these are just toys "if" they get scratched its a memory etched in metal![]()

Saw a guy and his wife at glamis a couple years ago in a 98 xj. He was running 4 desertraks with a 4 in long arm kit. The back hatch and doors were on it but no glass but the windshield. It was caged with no carpet, door panels, and only the front seats. The only other thing inside was a cooler. He had 4:88s and desert traks are 32" and some change. Stock drivetrain not even an exhaust. It was hauling ass and going where ever he wanted. Its all about floation and weight to hp. I think with some agressive gears, maybe a 5 speed and a diet (ac, glass, window motors, back hatch, etc) you could have fun in a 2wd paddled xj. I also have seen a early 80s f150 with a sick (not flatbiller sick) engine railing the big dunes. They had gutted it to the frame, left enough cab to put seats and switches in and was doing jst fine with stock suspension. Low HP=low weight
