Hardcore run in Northern Nevada?

Any interest in a hardcore run in Northern Nevada? We have a number of Hammers quality trails out here - much closer than a trip down to JV for most. I know there are a few seriously built rigs in the Sierra Chapter.

A brief sample of the sort of thing we have within about an hour of Reno:

These are probably going to require 37's, and minimal body or some talent to get through. I haven't had much trouble with my rear steer single seater on these trails, but they can be a real challenge for the bigger trail rigs around here.

If there is enough interest, I will gladly put something together - maybe even a two or three day weekend full of wheeling...

What if we are really slow, scared of rocks, but pretend to hang with the buggies?

Is this in snow fall areas?
Too cold for camping in tents, stay in RV's/hotels only?
This sounds very cool.

Once December gets here, most of these trails can get pretty snowed in.The best time to run the trails is early fall/late spring. Basically September/October and April/May.

We can put a December date on the calendar if you guys want, but it will be a crap shoot with the snow. Would we rather just set a reasonable spring date and put a bit more thought into it?

Most of the trails are a bit isolated, and although there is camping in the area, we would only be in the vicinity of one or maybe two of the trails. There isnt really the opportunity to just park the tow rig and drive to a bunch of different trails except for maybe in one area down by Carson. It would probably be best to be prepared to tow between trails and find a hotel for the night.

The rigs that compete in 35 and under cal-rocks events would probably be able to do most of these, though the going might get a bit slow. One of the regulars in the group that does these trails often is a beat-up, back-halfed toy on 36 iroks. So, I guess you can judge whether your rig is up to the task or not by that.

Spring would probably be better for me as I plan to(hopefully) spend all winter going to Hammers, Area URF, and Panamint.
