from what i herd you may need a spare oil pan or 2
I was just joking about the spare oil pans. :laugh3:
We were just put on a really tight schedule to pick out and bring the rocks in, so we will have to work with what we get. There will be a skidsteer loader there to move the rocks around once on site. It should be a fun course. Remember now, it's not a competition course, but a fun event for many jeep owners to enjoy. Like I said before, it's my first year organizing a rock garden, and am doing my best to deliver given the conditions. It's a lot of work, and hope it turns out great.
See ya there.

well ill be there in this beast, anly thing thats been put on it since the pic is i new have the spare on the roof.

Ummm ... did you read the thread?
Okay I really think we should try and get something together for this.

How's everybody feal about meeting at the Enfield Mall right off of 91 and heading to Somers, CT as a group. There's a big parking lot there and it shouldn't be a problem. The entry fee is 10 bucks per vehicle but it goes to a good charity and like sidriptide said it ensures we can attend as a group.

How's a 9AM meeting time with a 9:30AM departure to the Fairgrounds sounds to everyone. Please post if you are going to attend with us. I would like to get as big as a group as we can.
I'll be there in "Old faithful." Aiming for a 9:00 ETA at the Enfield Mall, but even though I have told my wife numerous times that we need to LEAVE the house at 07:30, I'm not betting the ranch.

The Enfield Mall at 9am and are leavin at 9:30

enfield mall is I-91 Ct exit# 48. 5 mins from the Ma border. east off the exit, and the mall is on the right just past a Wendy's.

Just in case there is any confusion we are meeting the the Enfield Mall, exit #48 off I-91. LOL

We'll meet outside the Filenes store since they have a huge parking lot.

If any one needs directions, gets lost or needs some help give me call. My cell is 910-988-8251.

Please don't forget your $10 donation which helps supports the Leary Firefighters Foundation and the Northeast Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs.

See you all in the morning!!

Ryan

so we finaly get to meet the "lady of the house" ??

i still get a kick out of th efact it takes you 90 minutes to get to enfield from woodbridge. maybe i just drive too fast. :wierd:

Depends on traffic, but I used to fly to Baltimore frequently on business and even at 6:00 in the morning it took and hour and a half to get to Bradley. Biggest problem is that it takes 20 to 30 minutes from the house just to get on a major highway.

Looks like Erich is coming in his XJ, too, so there will be two of us from down this-a-way.

Whoo, the Jeep made it back, it was a pretty good show with alot of nice Jeeps (espesally the ones at the enfield mall this mornin). Also Mike did you see that blue Ferrari rip by us just as we got onto 91?

It was awesome seeing you all again and it was great checking out all the rigs. 44" 2wd XJ not withstanding :)

Did you get your skids on yet Rob? :)

Even though I feel like I'm on my deathbed sick I managed to get my detours slyders installed when I got home...I actually started looking at the bumper and then decided I must be insane.

The quality of the stuff is excellent and Mark's service was fantastic (and prompt!).

Thanks ClassicXJ for starting the thread and hooking us all up!

Eagle it was great meeting you...I'll probably start pestering you when I have comanche specific questions!

Cheers!

hard to miss him. he was riding my bumper up the on-ramp. it's funny how my XJ goes slow when someone gets within a few feet of my rear bumper. must be a magnet of some kind. :sunshine:

I had a great time meeting everyone. It was fun going as a group. I hope to make it to a trail ride soon. That blue car passed me in Springfield and I was ahead of you guys. Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to everyone, I had a sick wife at home I needed to "tend" to. Glad to see everyone made it home safe. Later, - Nate.

You have that problem too?

I've given it a lot of consideration, and the best theory I have is that the close proximity of a following vehicle impedes the exhaust flow, causing an increase in exhaust back-pressure and a resultant decrease in the volumetric efficiency of the engine (less power).

Sound psuedo-scientific enough?
