Gray Rock Rules!!

well, I have to say that Gray Rock honestly blows tellico out of the water. almost all of the trails are 4-5 rated, they all have bypasses every so often so if you break or get stuck or whatever you can just go up the hill and you're back to the perimeter road. every trail is literally 5 min from your campsite, there is a perimeter road that goes around the whole park so everyone can watch. anyway, we did grayrock canyon, spare tire ridge, bents and dents and whiskey springs on saturday. i broke a rear driveshaft on whiskey springs right when it started raining so it was fun fixing that. sunday we watched a little bit of the rock comp and tried rock holler, but i overheated so we called it quits and took the bypass halfway up and packed up and went home. anyway, heres the long-awaited pictures....

gray rock is in gardendale, al. i think i might just leave the creampuff like it is now that she's got some good sized dents in her. we'll see though, maybe i'll paint it if i get motivated that place rocks!

How much did they charge you to wheel there?

well it was the CAOS May Madness ride, so it was $70/vehicle plus $5/extra passenger, so it was only $75 total for me and a buddy for the whoel weekend, which included portacrapper, band on saturday, raffle, and free dinner on saturday night and camping for the weekend. not too bad, it was WELL worth it IMO.
