A tree could fall on your car as you are stopped at a light. Unavoidable!
I win!

Letterman, really, that's a driving accident? Weak man, you can do better than that cant you?

Please try again. This time really reach down and work at it. You can do it, don't give up. You are better than this. Give one for the Gipper! :kissyou:

That actually happened to me.... and strangely enough, the property owner claimed it wasn't their fault so it ended up going on my insurance.

All these scenarios are the fault of the land owner I believe.

In all seriousness. Do as Hooper said. It has worked for me numerous times. Go to arraignment and request trial. If they ask for bail to be paid up front tell them you can't afford it. Request an extension on the bail amount. On the last week of your extension fax a letter saying you still can't afford the bail and ask them to grant an extension, lower or lift the bail requirement. Then once a court date is set wait a while and request an extension. Then go to court prepared to pay the fine. If the cop shows let him plead his case then if you lose ask for a reduction of your fine. If cop doesn't show you win.

A "guilty with explanation" always works well. Used it a few times in college for things like skateboarding on campus, driving on the beach and other things.

Your basiclly saying i screwed up but I'm not an idiot. You will be asked to wait for everyone else to finish then you get a chance to breifly tell your story. The judge will more than likely reduce the fine to a very nominal fee, like $25 or more depending on how well you state your case. Talk about all the maintenance and crap you do and what you have done to correct the issue.

This is nothing new. Almost every roll over, single vehicle on pavement crash the driver is fined and at fault. I would just pay it and chalk it up to a learning experience.

The rear locking up can be as simple as flash rust on the rotors/drums. I have had my rear brakes grab much harder than expected after a fresh rain. Either that or you need to take some brake pressure away from the rear end. Do a few hard stops on a wet asphalt parking lot and see if you can repeat the lock up. Just don't roll it! If you can you have too much rear brake bias.

I see a lot of MJ guys take out the load sensing valve. This to me is a horrible idea. The ass end of those trucks are way to light and in a panic stop they will lock up almost instantly without the valve.

Be happy it was unsafe turning movement and not unsafe speed, which carries a higher fine. As said, single vehicle accidents, the driver will be at fault. Mentioning things that were out of adjustment or not right, will definitely not benefit you in court. You are basically admitting you knew you were driving an unsafe vehicle on the roadway. Best bet is to take it on the chin and move on.
