Good Places to know in SD area

May I ask what you are having them do?

I have a very stock '97.

I'm having them put on a RE 4.5", a SYE and a front bumper/winch mount.

I just dropped it off today.

If you are in the Oceanside area and need stock stuff or things of that nature, I part time at Pep Boiys on Mission and Canyon, give me the NAXJA wink and I can probably use discount to get things a little cheaper.

So, I have had my Jeep back from JJ's Fab for a couple weeks now and have had a chance to put about 1,000+ miles on it.

I am very pleased with their work. There is no shimmy/wobble/shake at all. Up to 85 MPH and the Jeep runs very smooth.

I am very pleased with the bumper/winch mount. It is very sturdy, looks good and was very reasonably priced.

The ONLY thing I would caution about... and this is very minor... is this: I brought my brand new winch in to their shop so they could custom make the bumper to fix, and they lost a couple of parts (solonoid mounting plate and hook strap). They gave me $10 for the hook strap and offered to order a mounting plate and have it overnighted. Ultimately, we opted to mount the solonoid to the bumber to keep the profile low. So, I would just be careful about leaving things in their shop... but again, they did remedy the situation.

Overall, I would recommend, and I will be bringing my Jeep back there when I am ready for rock slides and an assortment of skid plates.

Does anyone know if JJ's is still around; I tried calling the number (858-292-2366) and its no longer in service, I went to their website and it said that is the current number, I emailed them and it bounced back. It doesn't look good. If they have a new contact number, please let me know.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I was just in there a couple of weeks ago, and they certainly didn't look like they were closing.

I work two blocks away... I'll stop by later and see what's up.

I went by their shop and it's closed and up for rent.

I talked to a neighbor and he said that they said they were looking to move... to maybe Otay or Chula Vista.

JSA got shut down by the IRS, had a big sale and now he is done...

He was way too expensive and too slow, once he got your money he didnt have any reason to rush.

It's official, Jason as packed up and headed back across the border. I got work he never really opened a shop in Otay, but partnered with another guy for a Jeep shop down here. Worked there for a couple of months and split off onto the horizon. That sucks him and barry did great work.

Prestige Autowash & Automotive
7860 Othello Ave, San Diego
(858) 277-6131

I paid $29.95 for a Smog Test. Since I am in the military and don't have CA plates I don't need the Certificate. There was a electronic transfer fee of $3.50 add. For a total of $33.45. They even thru a full service hand was for free, it was 9.99. Trucks, SUV's, Mini-Vans, and Vans is an additional charge. The owner of Prestige was very nice. He treated me like I was driving a $200,000 XJ.
