Ok, so I thought I read on here that we needed to prepay for the trip. Is this true or are we just going to pay when we get there?

You pay for general admission when you get there. The prepay part only comes into play if you need to reserve a cabin, RV site, or campsite. There are only so many spots available for the first two but I think they have plenty primitive camp sites.

im not sure it would be worth my time.... especially if i can get a new one for 80 bucks, if i have to go through the work to pull it a new one is going in

if you sleep there they yes... but if you want to get with someone else and buddy up on one campsite then its cheaper i believe. but not sure, the website says campsites are $20 a weekend but doesnt say anything about how many people to a campsite.

i just sent in my request for reservation of a camping site for myself and asked how many people the camping site $10 per night includes. ill post up what i find out.

I messaged them yesterday about a campsite. She said she put my name down on a site for that weekend. I was gunna get a cabin but what's the fun in that?!

if i come, would i be better off in a stock xj with a welded rear and tow points, or a lifted waggy with open diffs and mud tires? the xj would use a lot less gas, and i won't cry if i screw something up... i haven't been to golden mtn yet, and i'm still waiting on my lift for the xj...

thats kinda a tuff one... the waggy will be able to get places more easily but if you break something you will cry and the xj will have more trouble getting places but if you hurt it in the process you wont care... as much.
i say tow the xj with the waggy up there and wheel the xj first and if something breaks ride around in the waggy

just made my reservation for a campsite, she said she will have to get back with me on if the campsites are per person or if they include a certain number of people (ie two) for the $10 per night.

I told her that me, my girlfriend and my father were sharing a campsite and she didn't say other wise. Maybe she thought we were going to be in the same tent... idk. I'm sleeping in my Tahoe anyways...

Alrighty, so as of today I have bad news.
I'm going to have to work that weekend and I can't make it... Lots of hustling for nothing. I was REALLY looking forward to going. I guess I'll have to catch it next time...

I feel the same way... I've had the weekend scheduled off for 4 months... The boss came to me yesterday and told me I could have the sunday off but had to work friday and saturday...

Well, I haven't posted in this thread yet because I didn't know if I was gonna go or not. I've got a lot of stuff going on at home and my Jeep is not ready to wheel.
Since I've got the little pup camper I think I'm gonna make the trip anyway. I'll be riding this go around and hanging around the camp fire but I should be able to make it. I'm actually looking forward to some getaway time. I'm taking Friday off so I hope to be up there before lunch. See you guys there!!
