GOLDEN MOUNTAIN PARK SEPT 4th THRU 6th or 7th

I will be leaving Russellville somewhere around 330 or 4 oclock. I haven't been on here since we moved and just now got the internet working again! If anyone will be leaving Nashville around 5ish this evening, we could meet somwhere around the airport area, I will be taking 40 to cookeville. Call me since I won't be on here I will be loading up!

All coffee tastes and smells like hot water through dirty socks to me.:puke:

That is why you contaminate it with sugar and cream.

amazing how many directions a thread about wheeling can go.

Yep, we're all going to be there. Now we just have to hash out the unimportant stuff.

Jeep is packed all except the cooler and I'll load it in the morning.

I'll get some gas and money to get in the park in the morning on the way.

Pretty stoked to run again.

My wife and I are sitting here with the flu. Hope you guys have a good time. Nobody roll their junk (unless you want to, in which case we want pics!)

Have a safe trip everyone.

:cry::cry: Well I'm out. On the way my rig developed a horrible case of death wobble (I knew I shouldn't have messed with the alignment 2 weeks ago) and while trying to get it home, broke a pass side motor mount. I'm done.

:bawl::bawl::bawl:

Update: Due to the fantastic recovery thread I was able to contact JeepAddict85 and found a spare seat.....so I'll be there.

I had a great time. I got to ride Co-pilot with Brian (sorry Whitney for taking shotgun...I would have rode in the back). Had a GREAT TIME! We did quite a bit of riding and found the trails to be very challenging. Got lost and had more fun. It is unbelievable what XJ's can do. We were open/open on 32's.

There was a bunch of carnage so I'll let those responsible show what they accomplished.

The trails at GM are probably rated a little low. They rate trails as easy, moderate, and difficult. Some of the easy stuff I would definately call moderate. The map they give you at check in is very well done and we were able to follow it with one boo boo on my part (we turned to soon onto a moderate trail 8 rather than 2 like I thought). That was a fun trail and took us past the base of booger hill.

Facilities are pretty nice for it being a new park. Rocky said they will have new bath houses before Dixie Run so that is a plus. Camping is shaded. Bathrooms decent. They have lots of room in the pavillions. They built 5 apartments near the entrance that look pretty nice (interior shots can be seen on their website).

Saw and got to chat with a lot of great people and had a great time. Now to fix my junk.

had a pretty good weekend up there. except for saturday morning ha, 5 minutes into the first trail and i broke my passenger side u joint. ripped the ears off the inner and outer shaft. i had a full spare shaft along (inner/outer/hub)...however the ears were bent in on the stub shaft...so the u-joint didnt quite fit, the c clips wouldnt stay in. Huge thanks to Team Willys and everyone for getting me back on the trails. then coming down 14 i kinda of slammed my drivers side into a tree. My door is really dented, handle ripped off, and got some scrap marks all down the side. Oops. ill post up some pics and vids later. had a good time hanging out with everyone!

Man whoever put you in that tree must be a horrible spotter :roflmao:

The Jeep and I had a great weekend. Weather was nice and the trails were good. Thanks to all. No real carnage aside from the Ford loosing the brakes not even 5mi from the house, should be fine after a new vacuum pump. Tiff took somewhere in the neighborhood of 750 pics so *hopefully* she will have some pics up here in the next few days.

Well, I'm home. After Gregg destroyed his front axle u-joint on trail 5 I tried it. That trail put me out. I got a bunch of axle wrap and bent another leaf spring, broke an ear off the rear drive shaft and just about ripper the u-joint in half.

I do want to give a big thanks to great group of SEC XJ'ers for letting me bumb a seat after I broke so I could still enjoy some wheelin. I had a great time and I got to meet some new faces. Thanks to Spawn for getting under my Heep and trying to remove my drive shaft after it broke.

I will post pics in a little bit.
