GOLDEN MOUNTAIN PARK SEPT 4th THRU 6th or 7th

unfortunatley, that wouldn't have worked with dans... his trac bar ties in right under the pass coil spring perch, so there is nowhere for clamps, but thats good engineering for an XJ/ZJ/TJ owner!

Yea, I had to move mine out and rotated some (the heim was perp. to the ground) to get the clamps to work. It was under the perch as well. And of course after it broke I realized how bad of mount it was. But I believe i just threaded the heims in some and it worked. even drove it around town like that for a few days till I fixed it.

what broke on dans? the bracket? or the bar/joint itself?

had a great time this weekend guys... as far as i know still i didnt break anything.. yay for the genral :D i made it in the video woowoo... those rocks really dont look that bad when your standing there... and i made it in the description as well too bad it was the stalling part... dang carberator... oh well.

The weekend at GM was great. Wouldn't have been half as fun with out all of the great people who turned out to camp and wheel. Fiona is now hooked now. She has al ready told me I need to trim the fenders, get bigger tires and helped get my new tail light from pap. The only carnage we had was a few dents in the rockers, transmission cooler line leak, over heated on trail 14, a tree relieved my rear bumper of it's driver side molding along with the tail light and not really carnage but my t/c keeps jumping out of 4wd. So I've got a couple of things to trouble shoot before the weekend but nothing big. Again this weekend would not have been as much fun without all everyone that showed up. Nice to finally meet some other members.

Lines you wouldn’t hear any where else:
“I can get you some peacocks!”
“You build fires like you weld (bad).”
“Kiss my ass” “What did you say?” “Have a nice day officer!”

it was a good time...most of the fun came from just hanging out and telling funny stories around the camp fire. i know ive got a few things to work on on mine as well. something apparantly came loose in my steering...kind of makes a clunk as i turn the wheel and steering feels delayed when going from center. oh well...something to look at tonight i guess!

The repairs begin!!! I sourced a slip end for my drive shaft this morning. Got it off a 93 Bronco. Fits perfect on my driveshaft, has a 1330 u-joint (stronger than my 1310), and already has the 8.8 flange on it. I just need to slip it on my driveshaft and bolt it to the axle.

Awesome! Im not sure that the 1330 is really any stronger, they use the same caps and bearings as a 1310, but im sure it was cheaper than buying a new one, and now you can get a spare very easily.

My quote: "By the end of next week I hope for it to be named Ron White's Big Ole F****** Building."

I know it's rated for a little greater angle before binding. The whole driveshaft was only $15. All I had to do was slide the end off the Bronco shaft, slide it on my XJ shaft, and bolt it up. It's already in the XJ and ready to go. I'm to get another Bronco shaft and keep it for a spare.

Tiff, thanks for the Mikes cranberry....(sigh)

You guys can laugh all you want, those things are good! lol. But, unfortunately... I didn't drink one this time.

Couple of my favorite stories at the campfire were of Mr/Mrs Shrek telling of how they like to mess with each other in public. I can't quote any without butchering them, but I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard.

Oh you mean: I loved to chase Crystal through walmart with the kids crying and me yelling "JUST COME HOME HONEY...LOOK WHAT YOUR DOING TO THE CHILDREN!" Yep I have no shame.
