to bald this saturday morning with a my jeep of course and a buddies toyota. if anyone want to join your more than welcome to, actually id appreciate it. just a day trip though. looking forward to it though, should be fun.

hmmmmmmmmmm, I definately debating it. I haven't been wheeling in FOREVER. The last time I went was to Swamp, where I lost my two front fender flares. I have to work at 3 so I'd have to leave early. I'm supposed to pick up some TJ fender flares but I don't know when, and if that is the only time the guy and I can meet, then the flares take precedence!! I'm so bad, I have two finals next week!! I'll just bring the audio of the lectures.

I'll let you know when I do, but damn I want to go.

Snow levels are down to 2000 feet this weekend, make sure you have tire chains, as you may already know, the cops can stop you from going up 4 lanes on 168. Big sign on the side of the road "All Vehicles Must Carry Chains".

Will they let you slide with snow tires? I thought they did but I could be wrong. Has anyone made their own set of chains? I have multiple sets of chains of varying sizes and wanted to piece them together.

The sign says "All Vehicles Must Carry Chains" I think it is because if the 4 lanes was filled with ice or snow, you could be in for a fast and a long ride down that hill. A big storm could make that hill nasty fast.

Every time I have been up in that area I have had chains in the jeep with me so if I get stopped I can show that I have them.



But I don't have a set of tire chains that fits my 37's . . . :shhh:

You just have to show them chains, they dont have to fit. But in the snow, chains will get you there, no doubt.

well i know that it snowed in prather last night, so im sure it was coming down up in shaver at the least of things. its supposed to snow in fresno as the news puts it today, but you know how that is. well if anyone is down to get a group together within the next 2 weeks or so, id totally be down to do that.

I dont have any time to wheel for the next 2 months, but plan on a group Bald Mountain run in March, dates are still to be determined.
