Fix your rig.

A bad ground, bad coolant temp sensor (on a renix, there are 3..), bad o2 sensor .. a lot of things can make your gas mileage tank.

I have 4.88's and 35's now, and get closer to 17. The 4.0 is happier with lower gears and spinning fast than it is when it has to work hard.

Jes used to run 5.13's and 35's and would get 20 highway.

Must be awfully flat there.

No changes to mine except the gears and the mpgs dropped. It's not a renix BTW.

I wouldn't really call california flat.

Renix or not, you have a temp sensor for the gauge, one for the accessory fan, and one for the PCM to know if you're warm or not (it adjusts fuel mixture). that last one is the one that matters in this case.
