Full bodied MJ on 42.5 boggers

good luck with the reman, i think i went through 3 or 4 before i got one that wasnt crap.

Hate hijack here, but I just put my heep back together and have some power steering woes. I did a wj conversion on my d30 and did 1 ton steering from ruff stuff. In the process, I ended up needing to swap in a reman steering box. With my factory pump seemingly bled, though having sat on the floor of the garage for 1.5 years with sparks flying, it feels like I have no power steering. It feels like I'm driving an old truck w/o P/S. I'm running ~4.5" LA lift and 33's. I feel like it should be a lot easier to turn the wheel, so I'm wondering what the group's symptoms of a crap reman box were. No P/S? Or clunky grindy?

I'm trying to avoid just throwing a pump at it if this is a chronic symptom of reman boxes.

I have never used a reman box... Pumps are usually noisy if they don't work.. I would remove the drag link, jack it up and see if you can turn the wheel/tire by hand. maybe a frozen ball joint?

Mine doesn't *feel* any different than stock under normal conditions. It makes a huge difference in the rocks, though.

I run a stock pump, drilled stock box and a cheap single ended Surplus Center ram. Only difference I can tell from stock is less return center and it's slightly slower when steering lock to lock. You can drill out the regulator to a slightly larger hole but then it steers really fast. lol

So I ran into a power issue while trying a steep sandy hill climb this weekend... It was either not enough wheel speed or not enough power. With all my gearing choices I couldn't find the right one. Engine is real tired and all stock. I have a fresh engine just waiting for time to swap. Its built all stock. So here is my question. Has anyone had luck with a 75 shot of Nitrous in a stock engine? I don't need it all the time. In fact that has been to only time so far. But I didn't like it.

Have not done much lately. Been driving it daily because the transmission shit out on the wifes car so she is driving the Cherokee...
But tonight I took some time to make a switch panel and hook up my line locks.

On board air has been down since the rebuild. I've been missing it. SO tonight I hooked it back up. I put it in the fuel door since my tank is in the bed now. Still need to put my plate light in there. It will come on when the system is activated. And my fire truck air horn works again!!!
