FS: 1988 jeep comanche chief 4.0 auto 4wd SE WI $400

I've got an 88 jeep comanche chief 4wd 4.0 auto (aw4) np231. It's rusty, but runs and drives. The brakes need work (they don't work at all right now) and the gas tank leaks when full. title is free and clear and in my posession.

dana 30 front
dana 35 rear
front tow hooks
transmission and gas tank skid

we picked it up to pull the axles. When I picked it up, it would not even start but I got it running. it currently has a d30 front d44 rear and I need both to have matched gears. I'm pulling them this week and putting a dana 30 and dana 35 in it (3.07 gears). it will still run and drive.

This thing is rusty....it's not a restoration vehicle. the bed is not great, doors are not great, floors are more or less just a memory as are rockers. it's a winter beater with potential for a wheeling rig.

with 129,000 miles I will strip the truck if I don't get a reasonable price for it. I'd like $400 but I am a little flexible on price.

truck is located in Burlington, WI. I'll post pics later on today.

I really don't want to scrap this thing out...make a decent offer. I'm leaving to go to california for work for two months on friday...must be gone before I leave. whether I have to take off work and scrap it out or not is up to you guys

I've parted more comanches than I care too admit...they're rare and I've got enough MJ blood on my hands without killing another one.

I'd rather sell it, but it does appear that it's gonna be a parts truck now

well, I stripped it considering there was no interest. I left the gas tank skid...bolts won't come out unless I use a torch, and the gas tank leaks...not my favorite combination lol.

I'm keeping all the parts but the skids, and already traded off all the skids.

nothing that I'm selling.

all that is for sale is this axle. I have a 3.55 geared d30 that can go with it for CHEAP. The truck is the donor for my factory '86 diesel.

any leads on a commanche for sale near by? im looking for one that is or used to be a manual. motorless....with a motor. i dont care. 4 cyl, 6 cyl. dont matter. just an MJ. prefferebly was or is 4x4 though.

I'm looking to sell my "wheeling" truck...87 with 6k on drivetrain, '95 high output conversion, 2001 intake, borla header, flowmaster muffler, 62mm TB, 19lb injectors, 7" lift, d30/d44 with 4.10's (open diff), 35x12.50 M/T's on cragar soft 8's, and a TON of other goodies on it...

looking for around 4k though...

oh wow...I just realized that this was the comanche, not the dana 44 that I'm selling...



yeah, I scrapped the whole truck after I pulled the dash wiring, engine, trans, cooling system, engine bay wiring, driveshafts, axles, bucket seats, and some dash accessories, as well as the rear window.

All the parts are either used, or going to be used.
