front crossmember length on 1996

1996 front cross member is kinda "modified" (by a tree)

whats the distance between the front "frame" rails?


before welding everything back together.

Be careful of your measurement as the frame rails are not straight/parallel.

at the very front where the bumper mounts 32.5 inches.

distance between bumper brackets is 32.75 inches.

I'll willing to weld up at 32.5 but want to make sure.


she doesn't have to be perfect.

Just don't enjoy a fluctuating alignment..


What changes steering wheel and tire alignment at the same time..
sigh... a big problem.

Everything frame rail related forward of the shock mounts and motor mounts is non-critical. Just make sure both are not canted to the same side side.
