Fordyce trip 8/5-7

This will be my 1st trip in almost a year. I have a few friends that will be coming with me and a few Jeep and Toyota buggies. Who can make it out? This is the weekend before Sierra Trek and their rock stacking etc. If anyone wants to go up in a group from Sacramento then post up. I'll either be going up late Friday or early Saturday.

Rev

I know, I'm just messing around with him. He (Lawn Cher) is giving me a hard time. That's o.k. I'm serious though about running Fordyce, I will not contribute to this thread to make it what the JV trail run thread became, that was a little wishful thinking on my part. The local trails are fine with me for now at least.

So who can make it 8/6-7? You don't need thousands of $ into your rig, just maybe dual lockers, skids, etc, stuff you want to have for trails like Fordyce and the Con. Anyone lerking on this site who might want to come? There are some of you (Blair) :laugh3: Maybe you guys scared him off. He has 10" lift and 35's, he was getting beat up around here pretty bad he said, I sold my spare set of dana 30 axle shafts.

So Opie... Are you going to do any actual wheeling while in California? Or are you just web wheeling our state? I think you might need to start posting in the Colorado Chapter forum.

Sorry, I'm gonna be in a catfish tournament that weekend. Ever heard of jug fishing? I'm blending in with the locals very well these days if I do say so myself.

Too bad, maybe next time. At least you didn't misquote me. :laugh3:

For some reason I thought you would be into noodling? :wierd:

What are the odds of a noodling comment showing up on two threads in the same hour?

Gotta walk before you can run... jug fishing then noodling.

WTF is jug fishing?

Apparently what they do (and I say they because I haven't yet joined the redneck ranks) is use a plastic jug (like a bleach bottle) as a big bobber with a baited hook on a line and a weight to keep it in place. It is a means to cover a large area of water with multiple lines until a fish takes the bait. Similar to trot-lines I guess. Kinda takes the sport out of it, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

That sounds like almost as much fun as finding a sheep caught in some barbed wire. :D

For some reason I thought I heard banjo's playing in the background while I read that?
