ford rear 8.8 swap/conversion

well that doesnt make sense because i stated i do not have abs breaks so why would i pull the fuse if its not there? not to sure you know what your talking about.. the question is will the abs brakes interfer with a non abs brake vehicle? i know there is wires and if there not hooked up is there an piston that locks the breaks up internally? or if i dont hook them up ill be just fine?

You sure are making a lasting impression. Simply because someone misread what you typed means he doesn't know what he's doing... You're the one that doesn't know how to use a verb properly.

If the wires aren't hooked up then how do you think they'd work?

I've been wishing for wireless electricity for years. Still nothing.

My 8.8 had ABS. So did my Jeep. I didn't hook the wires up so I no longer have ABS.

I must have misread that. Just throw the thing in there and not worry about it.

easy buddy, u should stop assuming... remember ASS.U.ME... FlexdXJ misread your ABS question, & responded thinking ur XJ has ABS & the D44 does not... u were wrong in responding the way u did... u ask questions about an axle swap that is as common as putting a lift on an XJ, then that ABS question, that if u were mechanically inclined, u'd know the brakes won't lock the wheels if the ABS sensors aren't energized

& way to start a thread to get info on an 8.8 swap, get great feedback, then suddenly decide to go with a D44...

Lowrange knows his shit, & from my little experience on the board, joins in an discussion/thread to share his experiences (which is way more than u have) & be helpful... "typical brown nose person", how does that apply to him?? do u kno what "brown nose" means?

besides all that, thanx for all the good info here guys, i will be using this for future reference

I you could get past the opening line of my post you'd see that I offered the same advice as the other 2.

:smoker:

I had originally gone thru his entire post and corrected everything I could. I would have had to change so much of the structure that I gave up. I had corrected "sense".

I'm is goings to leave is at that.

this whole post has gone side ways. thanks for the info, every question was answered in one way or another.. the reason why i posted my questions is because i thought my axle was gettin ready break but instead found out my spider gears are worn down and thats making all the noise. i was going to upgrade beings i was going to be swapin axles but as it turns out i just needed new spider gears.. sorry for the incorrect grammer, and thanks for those who helped:peace:
