Entire Ford dana 44RS Full Floating front axle
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a Ford Danna 44 RS plow series axle I have completely rebuilt the axle from the inside out. I have replased all bearing and seals except for the carrier and pinion bearings. I replaced the brake shoes and the kingpin bearings also. The enitre axle has been coated down with POR-15 and the drums are coated red for a pretty sick look. I can lock my front up easy with 42's too. It has the 3.50 ratio and I didn't plan to mess with the inners bearings in the pumpkin since they will be replaced witha a gear swap. This axle is the closed nuckle series and has 1/2 inch axle wall tubing. It is the plow package series and runs bigger shafts and joints than any of the other dana 44's. I have two of these and run the other one on my XJ with 42's. It is a beefy axle and has no problems what so ever. I had to custom order shafts for my other one because warn's chromoly 44 shafts are way to small. The inner and outers are almost identicle to a one ton front 60. You guys who are familiar with the closed knuckle series know what I am talking about. I know a couple other guys are running them on this site too. It has drums and has the panhard arm mounted by kingpins instead of ball joints. It does not have lockouts but has the full time lock hubs. 1 ton lockouts are required for this axle. I have pics and will ship anywhere in the US by Fed Ex freight. I live in CO, I can crate it up myself but the buyer pays all shipping costs. I am willing to negotiate price, but i dropped almost $350 into rebuilding this axle alredy. I am selling since my project vehicle got blessed with some nice uni mog axles.
price goes $800 obo plus shipping costs
I mean I can budge a little I just put a lot of work and parts into this.
It will probably be on Ebay soon too.
I can take pics of the pinion for a better view.
Cheers,
Nik
