ford 8.8 VS Yota 6 lug

I want to convert the yota axle to 5 x 4.5, and use the explorer discs. Unless if someone knows a cheap way to convert the front.
waggy 44?

if you are looking for an e-locker, pull an axle out of a 95 and up taco. the width will be closer to stock than a 4 runner i believe, and you'll still have to deal with the 6 lug pattern. if you pull an axle from a 95 and up 2wd non-prerunner taco, the axle width and bolt pattern will be the same. only down side is there is no e-locker for it. at least without major modification. i just put in an ARB and called good.

Yeah, but I should probably stick to one can of beans at a time.

It's the elocker that I'm after, so now it's down to finding a relatively cheap way to get the bolt pattern's the same, hence redrilling to 5x4.5, and trying to use the explorer brakes(already bought new ones). I understand I'll most likely need to fab up some caliper brackets. Are the axleshafts interchangeable between the pre runner taco, and non pre-runner taco? I'm sorry if quite a bit of this information has been covered, it's a little difficult to take it all in, especially from multiples websites. Off to do more research.

Which is a better swap for a cherokee? the 8.8 with the low clearence pumpkin or the Yota 6 lug 8inch ring gear from a taco?
Has anyone done the yota swap before? Ive gotten some other opinions on NC4x4 and the majority said go for the yota for cost and the application of 35 inch tires and under. Both axles would be locked and not see more than 35 inch tires.
Lincoln has done at least once possibly more times .....here the hell is Lincoln?
