Fog lights integrated into stock front bumper

Anyone ever do this for a factory style look?

Might attempt something like this on my next Cherokee... maybe snag some round driving/fog lights from the JY and cut some holes in the bumper and try to mount them somehow.

Kinda give it a stock look, but not under the bumper or on top like Cherokees sometimes come with.

Sure it could be done. I did it in the rear bumper of my '85 to provide more light in the back. Ran it to a separate switch so I could turn it on and off at will.

Yep, I did the same as cottontail with the rear bumper. I just cut the holes with a hole saw and bolted the lights (cheapo walmart driving lights) to the inside of the bumper.

^^^ Check out how much work he has in it though. In my opinion its a cool street jeep. I could do without the fake hood vents, but the rear tail location is amazing.

That's a Mopar accessory brush guard for '97-up XJs; IIRC, it also came in black. It's hard to tell from the angle the photo was taken at, but the pods that the lights sit in come up a couple of inches above the top of the bumper, giving the front end a slight frogeye effect.

It's as idiotic as wacky tags - you know, where people put the month and year stickers on their license plates in about the right location but at a 45-degree angle. There's actually one lowered S-10 running around here with the frenched plate in the tailgate, and the tags set at an angle on the plate that puts them parallel to the ground. If I get a chance, I'll grab a photo for posterity's sake.

Those brackets are worth their weight in gold. I spotted two mopar brush guards in the summer (for a decent price); unfortunately, both were missing their mounting brackets. I ran into another guy with a complete bar, but he wanted a poor-man's fortune. I'm still on the look-out for one of these brush-guards.. provided it has the brackets/ doesn't cost a ludicrous amount.

Basically, I keep going back and forth on just finding one of those or actually sinking money into a bumper, but those guards are like rocking horse dookie.
