Not sure if this should go in OEM or modified. :)

Gonna pull the carpet and herculine the floor.

Wanted to install drain plugs at the same time. Not that I PLAN to get wet, but figure better safe than sorry.

Searched, hoping to find recommendations, but found none ... but I found one post where someone referenced XJ's coming stock with drain plugs.

Since I don't have the carpet up yet, I have no idea what's under there.

Do I have stock drain plugs, and is there any reason or way to upgrade them?

If I don't have drain plugs, can anyone recommend any solutions?

Thanks.

pull your carpet you will find about 10 of them. They are rubber and can be easily pulled.

Be prepared for what you will find, I pulled my carpet last week and found rust through..... its only a freggin 98.

listen, here is what I did. Pull all the carpet, sand clean paint the rust, scuff the tub and remove what drain plugs u want to keep in your jeep, herculine over the rest to seal them shut. Go to walmart and buy boat drain plugs, and install them in the empty holes. You can open and close them at your leisure and you can also wash out the inside of your jeep when it does get dirty.

I wish I had my pics, but they arnt on my laptop

Yeah .. A couple months ago I spilled some Damp Rid on the carpet .. I tried to clean it all up, but I know some got by because it rusted my socket wrench, an axle socket, and assorted cans of automotive stuff that I had laying on the back floorboards (PB blaster, carn cleaner, and the like).... and that doesn't count the gallons of water, coolant and windex that I know I have lost back there over the years :tear: .

I think that's what I was looking for - didn't realize I could find them at wally world though :)

Right on i think I will try that boat plug idea :).

best method to locate drain holes is to dump about a quart of H2O into each floor section and see where it settles. The factory plugs are not located in the lowest place-- close, but you'll still have some pools if you drain through them.
