Definitely doable for me. Just throwing this out there, but the ownrr of Toms 4x4 refused to help with the crawl raffle. The employees were down with it, but he said no. Just fyi.

It use to be held on Oct 31st which is why I never made it. Then they moved it to the first weekend in November. IDK what this BOD is planning.

I'm not sure that would be a reason not to use his park for an event - especially if it is a good location geographically for our chapter.

Took 8 to get to Tellico and takes 12 +- to get to Harlan.
So 10 isn't too bad. Probably can't do every event every year but I would be happy to keep travel under 10 hrs.

Tom has always seemed like a decent dude...surprised be hasn't offered to help.
Jon, one of the dudes that works there used to work for ringgold offroad (he ran the place)...,then he got moved over to toms...he is a good dude. Knows his shit..and is always willing to give a hand. I broke my track bar in half, and could not get tapered end out of the frame mount...he helped me beat the thing out and machined the hole to a larger size for my new bar.
I've heard nothing but 100% good things about toms park.
I could probably get several non naxja members to ride too.
Everyone around here has xjs..hell, Ringgold Offroad wheels basically nothing but rokees.
I'd be so happy to see the thing at Toms..my rig will be super bland since I sold my 3 linked rig on 35s and got this 98 2 door with all terrains..but I'll wheel and beat it like it owes me money

Never said it was, like I mentioned. Just FYI. I dont know the guy at all, and im not about to judge him based on that alone, but it does hold some weight in my personal vote for location. That being said, its pretty darn close to my house, and I am up for something new.

I know you didn't Stump. I wanted to put my opinion on it. I also I wanted to cut it at the pass to keep it from going into an anti-Tom's thread. Little chance of that in the SEC forum, but I'm used to watching, from inside the NBOD, threads disintegrate on the rest of the forum!

I know where you are coming from Dirk. I also wanted the membership to know that info since the majority of the crawl raffle stuff (begging?) is done behind the scenes, and we should - in my opinion - reciprocate to those who support us. Perhaps we could use this potential opportunity to start a relationship with Tom in our negotiations with him about the Flog should our membership decide to use his park. It may just work out better for us in the long run (i.e. 2014 Crawl...)

Not far from me either. He's been working his butt off making the park better. There is a Walmart hotels and food not far from the park.
I know he is building a big pavilion right now.
Like the parks page on Facebook and you can see the updates.
He is hosting a big bounty hill ride ($10k payout) in a couple of weeks so that may be a Good time for someone to go ride around and check it out.
