First attempt at fabrication

So here are a few pics of the bumper and sliders I made for my trip to Moab tomorrow. I have never woked with metal before so take it easy on me :cheers:

Sweet. Looks nice. Can't believe it's your first attempt.
 
OMG what were you thinking? J/K looks good. what pipe/dom did you use. Did you ahve a shop bend it for you or did you pick up tools here and there.
 
It's 2" 11ga tubing. I used a crappy harbor freight pipe bender that my friend had. I wouldn't suggest anyone use one because it dents the tube at either side of the bend and I had to fill and grind those spots. The brackets I made using a template that someone posted here on naxja. The sliders were copied off some I saw here as well.

11ga is kind of thin. I used that HF pipe bender on mine used sch 40 pipe and it worked great. have to work it slow and start on the outer holes with the rollers then move them in as you go and no problems.
