Finding roommates

Find a nice 35-40 yo or so divorcee who has a house, that's the best solution, if she's rich even better. Nothing wrong with being kept for a while.

Damn, that sounds good to me too! Have to ask the Wife first though. :twak:

So she is a female?
that's a little harsh, I've had female roommates I got along fine with (and I wasn't doing them or going out with them, either.) It's just tough to find ways to argue for something rational because doing something the normal way just makes sense to me, but is a completely foreign concept to her. For instance we nearly had our power shut off last month because she had run out of stamps, she asked me if I had any, I said I didn't and didn't have time to get to the post office (I've been doing ~60 hour weeks for a while now at work), she stood there staring at me like she expected me to magically change that, then placed the envelope on the table outside my door and walked away. I really don't have time to get to the post office right now, I wasn't kidding. She likes to play the "if I ignore the problem and pretend someone else is handling it, it will go away eventually" game, even though she could have simply brought the envelope up to the post office on campus between classes and mailed it... or used the electric company's electronic payment system. I suggested both of these ideas and she just stared at me, apparently those don't make sense to her or something. I handle the bills I'm responsible for via e-pay, haven't seen anything except "thank you for paying your bill" emails in months and have not lifted a finger to do it.

:dunno:

Find sane roommates.

I was just making the point that most females I run into seem to not make sense, and not understand sense. Not trying to be mean or anything :) I have known and lived with a couple and it went well.... they still just never made sense:laugh:

Some times the truth hurts I wouldn't apologize.

Only reason I'm still living with anyone is rent, I'd rather spend 366/mo on rent and be annoyed, and cram the extra into my savings account, than spend 500 or 600 a month and be happy. I am really hoping I can manage to buy a house by the time my lease is up (May), we'll see how that goes.

I'm paying 1250 now I plan on moving in to my uncles house and pay 500/mo with no utilities.
I'd rather being the renting from someone else then have people sublease from me. I don't need the drama.

Depending on the situation, maybe you could go visit their current living situation. Then you could get a feel for how they live.

How big of a place are you living in for 1250/mo? I pay 675 and have a 1100 sq. ft house.
