finaly got an XJ 99 limited with some stuff

Has anyone done something with the wiring on the dash?

Today it started randomly not working, tach drops to 0 and speedo doesn't work while the airbag light comes on.

Sounds like the usual late model dash connector issue, there was a tsb and the connectors may need to be replaced. If not that, check the wiring to the VSS. That will fix the speedo, the tach is another issue which is why I suspect the dash connector problem.

thats pretty common from what i read. happened to my 97 a few times when i first got it, then fixed itself and hasnt come back in the last 50k miles lol

ya it'll do that randomly, hasn't done it in a while. as mentioned that's a common problem in the 97+

That bumper was a 1 off prototype they made a while back and sold through the forum, IIRC their new ones are not the same as this. If you're looking to get one call them up and ask about it.

if you wanna trade those tires of yours for a set of 5, 33 kevlars to be easier on those 4.56s, let me know!! LOL

Hmmmmmmmm. I was just talking to Alex about this head the other day.... But.... I could just rebuild the motor for port power hahaha. Idk yet, yours new?

So, I go over to Clayton's shop, talk with Adam and show him my Clayton arms... "Hey dude I don't meant to burst your bubble but those are not our arms"
Well the arms are a garage build copy of possibly a mid length rusties kit or something. Measured the arms I have at about 33in, Clayton's are 36/37 and made with better parts. Talked to the guy i bought everything from a d he didn't know and says I can return them, I'll post everything up on here first.
Oh ya and then I handed him a lot of cash a d walked away with a long arm kit anyway hahah. Adam and Clayton are good guys, hooked me up with a set of "used" arms.
This weekend..... We build! Then go beat on in the woods.

They have about 7k miles on them not choppy no plugs. one tire caught my lower rear quarter panel and took a piece from one of the tread lugs...other than that in really good shape..what condition are those in? hard to tell by the pictures.

agreed Adam is a good guy have talked to him a lot and both of the rigs we have have (mostly) clayton lifts in them. sucks to hear they were a garage rebuild but glad the guy will give you a refund. that is hard to come by especially when you by the LA from a private seller!

from what i can see on the site that is the bumper i have. although i do not have the laser cut logos it is the same bumper, an early production run of some sort.

ha ya i hear you on that.

i have 4 D44 axle shafts, 2 in the rear now and 2 extras. new bearings on the 2 in the jeep now and 2 extras, we did the bearings maybe 6 days ago. any idea what they would be worth? i'd like to sell all 4 and get a set of alloy ones.

Meh... you won't break the D44 factory shafts. I wouldn't worry about it until you find a really good deal on the alloys.

Long arm install....
