Finally painted the damn thing.

I finally got the proper grille for it (8 slot), and started putting the other crap back on it. Honestly with the silver roll cage and exo, I'm thinking about doing the clear outer lenses.

Oh yeah, did the letters too.

I think I'm going to tape off the tube, and straight across the top edge of the tailgate, and spray that all silver. So the tube line goes all the way across. I can't think of a better option for blending it all in and I think it'd look pretty good honestly.

I think I might not put the JEEP letters back on the front, omit the "cherokee" lettering, and do the clear lenses.

Paint was PPG Delton DCC single-stage polyurethane, HVLP gun. For my first time with a real gun I'm happy with how it turned out.

That thing is tight!! I like the paint and colors...definitely go with the clear corner lights..yellow will look goofy in my opinion.

Surely you were looking in the wrong place. You can get a set for like $12 or something on ebay. Which makes them very disposable.

Searching for "clear corner" vs. "clear lens" definitely helped out. I got the set of 4 front lights.

Painted separately.

Got it out driving around again over the weekend...logged just over 50 miles. Everything's coming together finally...now I just have to paint/finish the rear doors and front fenders, and spend some time getting everything lined up again.

I'm also going to lower the rear an inch or so, gotta see where it sits level. Feels great going down the road though...steering is nice and tight, tire balance ain't that bad, and it hums right along at 50-55 MPH in 4th gear nicely.
