I want to take some video at the upcoming NAXJA 15th Anniversary party, and want to do some "under the car" shots of suspension cycling and such.

I can't figure out how or when to mount the dang camera to get those shots. I do have a front OEM skid plate, so that might hinder it some.

How and where have y'all mounted these for similar shots?

i have a bunch of the sticky back mounts under my jeep. they have stayed on for the 1.5yrs that they have been there. i was skeptical they would stay but they are holding strong. i have one on a leg of my rock rail that points towards the front suspension and one on my back bumper that points towards the rear suspension.

Did you prep the area before putting the sticky pad on Wade? I have a bunch of them, and can find more. I was skeptical also about using them. Do you have a tether that will tie the camera to the Jeep somehow in case it gets hit with a rock or simply falls off? My fear is losing the camera and not knowing about it.

i just cleaned the surface really well and stuck them on. i dont tether it. i run my gopro off my iPhone app which has a camera view screen. i can see it if it were to come off. it has yet to happen though.

That is a neat feature. I have a Hero 1, so I can't do the whole remote deal.

I did make a video yesterday from the bottom of my rock rail that turned out pretty cool.

Those are great views. I'll have to improvise on recreating the first one, because if I put it on the bottom of my bumper, all I'll see is my engine bay skid plate!!

I'll go fool around with more mounting options later today.
