Filarski Bros. Baja 1000 Prep

Hey , Shaffer's talking trash , haha.

Thats because he's scared a couple guys in a garage, after hours, on a 1/4 of the budget are gonna give him the smack down...:laugh3:

Couple of updates. Sorry for the delay, we've been burried in the garage every night.

Jack mount, check.
My bro, Ryan, did an awesome job:cheers:

Huge props to all of the Dust Junkies. We've had everyone from their team over to help. Scott Hartman, Loose Nuts Dan Turner, Scott Parker from Rock Buggy Supply (www.rockbuggysupply.com) Jeff "LJ" Ranney

They all knocked out a slew of things that were on the "list"

Scott Parker asked "What do you need me to do?"
We told him to pick anything on the list. He say's "Oh! a list. The best part about a list is there's atleast a dozen things that arent on it..."
Cracked me up.

For every item we scratch out on the list, we add 2 more, he could'nt be more right.

Side 2 of the "list"

There are tons of little "time eaters" that need/needed to get done...

Everyone (only a couple spoiled brats:moon:) thought the GPS was mounted to high and it hurt their wittle necks, so we moved it down onto the "Oh F^ck bar". We needed a place to put the IRC tracking device mount so we utilized the abandoned GPS tabs to help hold the bracket.

Stuff looks really good Eric. Wish I was closer and had some time, I'd be there contributing.

You gonna get some testing time.......de-bugging?

One of the guys at work here was watching me read thru this, and was (from the lustful look on my face :loveu:) under the impression I was looking at pix of scantily clad men.

I stick to Jeep porn at work :compwork:! :laugh3:

Light Force hooked us up with a box of love. 4 new HID's, some 9" ambers for the bumper and 2 4" amber and blue lights for the back.:wierd:

Everyone's seen the guy shooting a 22mm rifle at these lights without breaking the lense before, so no worries of Rocks busting up expensive lights like the old HID's we had.

They have all kinds of different lenses you can guy for color or beam pattern.
We'll run ambers on the bumper for the dust at night. Long range beams in the middle of the light bar and euro/flood on the outside of the bar.

The amber and blue lights mounted in the back.

Last year Pirate guys broke a front shaft during the race. Somehow they didnt know you need the stub shaft to hold the unit bearing together. They made it 80+ amaizing miles without the wheel falling off before they stoped and had BFG Pits rig a VW stub axle in the bearing to hold it together.
It could have easily cost them the race, so we decieded to mount a unit bearing with a stub installed inside the car.

Ryan whipped up a cool quick clamp on mount

Looking good. That light force stuff is soooo pretty.

I still need to find a cheap amber for the rear of my rig before heading down there. I picked up some S10 cargo tie downs (and some from a VW Eurovan) that need to go in soon too.
