Today was a paint day.

We got the Jeep down to our good friend and long time FatCity supporter Jack Robbins at RVMD paint and body in Menefee Ca.

Jack let us use his paint booth to blow and go the inside of the cab and then he will be taking over the painting duties when it comes time to put color on the outside.

We started by spraying some kind of "merical solvent" to loosen the well set silt and power washing the entire inside.

All scuffed and primed up.

Me getting suited up for suck time, aka getting tangled in the cage and trying to paint.

We decided to go back to the old school FatCity color, so Jack at RVMD mixed up 3 Gallons of Lamborghini Orange, turbo bright and it sounds fast too...

Good god man hahahahaha. Careful you don't have any loose articles of clothing, they'll get sucked in.

Thats what the pre-filters for...lol

Huge surprise this morning...
Jack @ RVMD stayed late last night and got the Jeep painted! This puts a day ahead of schedule, which is always sought after

Na, this is a way brighter Orange, but way brighter came with 3 times the price tag than the old Orange...

OK. so not that it matters but it is killing me.

Why not just pull 3 bolts and remove the taillights rather than mask them off? I'm figuring there is a reason......wiring......cage in way.....something.

Good question. So I asked.

I would do the same, because it would take me 6 minute to mask it or 3 minutes to take it off.

Jack say's "If you know how to tape it takes 6 seconds and you dont lose as many screws"
