I started off with a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I bought it back in april of 2008. 4.0L, np231, dana 30 front, chrysler 8.25 rear.

I then herculined the lower part of the doors and the rockers getting rid of the red stripes.

Then I decided to go with a Rough Country 4.5" lift kit with full leafs, nitro shock upgrade, sway bar disconnects. I bought some black wheels, then decided to go with 31"x10.5"x15" General Grabber AT2 because they are almost identical to the BFG AT's.

I started doing the lift, started with the front end.

Then I moved to the rear.

I ran into problem after problem during the whole lift process. First, rough country sent me a bad ad. trac bar. Then I needed to replace the front brakes, rotors and pads. Found out one of my front u-joints were bad so I replaced those. Then I sheared of all four rear shocks bolts going up into the unibody. Then one of the rear passenger lugs sheared off. WOW. Then to top it off I found out that RC also sent me a bad rear shock.

I mounted some bar pin eliminators to relocate the shock bolts in the rear. Rough country sent me the new parts. replaced everything that I needed to and hears how it turned out.

Future shopping list for the JEEP:
Surco Roof rack, ARB Bull Bar or TNT front bumper. JCR rear tire Bumper, rocker guards, skid plates, have to install my CB, want to figure out a rear storage shelf for my tools, snorkel, new exhaust-probably magnaflow. I just need to get more money haha.

so i found a used arb bull bar like i wanted for $440 on craigslist, then i realized it was like 10 min. away so i picked it up. shouldnt of spent the money but i couldnt pass it up. put the new rear shock on and the bumper today.:head:

I just went on the GreatLake XJ's Fall Crawl with them this weekend. It was a great time. Right before I left I quick placed the CB in my jeep. I put on a short whip. I had no great place to put a shorty so I used one of the Bull Bar Light tabs haha. it worked great. I also got to check out my quick discos for the first time. Those things work great as well. I also got to finally climb some steep hill climbs and some rocks. The tires worked better then I could imagine. I will post some of the Trail Run pics up later.

This weekend jeepcomj helped me get a bunch of stuff done. First we took out my cb and antenna so i can remount it differently later. What a perfect weekend to. The weather is so nice out for no reason in February. It was like 50* today.

Then we installed my Rockcrusher Diff. Covers which look awesome!

Then we fab-ed up some rear shock mounts because I sheared off the bolts into the unibody when I installed the lift. But either way no more bar pins! The pictures look a little weird but I didnt care because I was tired haha.

I will hopefully be putting the vents in as well as the brace within two weeks. I just wont be able to go home this weekend to do it. The one picture shows how closely color matched the vents are. I believe they are out of a pontiac grand prix but im not 100%. They did also come with drain pans though:thumbsup:. Also, the fuse box cover didnt work. Must be a different model. The one I have in now has a huge burn whole in it from previous owner.

i put in a switch for the auxiliary fan so i can run it manually. i put in a stock switch instead of some other toggle. did take many pics but its there.

on the to do list (once im done catching up):
-selling arb (sold it now) - building home brew front bumper like jcr stage 3 i think
-new upper and lower control arms
-finish rock sliders
-new steering, either jcr 1 ton or homebrew
-new brake lines
-mount full size spare
-built-in tool box for the back right corner
-JKS quick discos
-new exhaust

I got my new steering stabilizer on.
I also added to roof rack rails on, especially for hunting season:

I also got these parts in the mail for my front bumper build since I sold my ARB. AJsOffroad uniframe tie in brackets and d-ring tabs. They are nice  Also in this picture is some Rubicon Express lift shackles. I really didnt need them, but I got a good deal on them. :)

This picture just shows how beefy the d-ring tabs are:
