I might be able to get my hands on a late model overhead console w/most of the wiring from a Cherokee and one from a 95+ Grand Cherokee with at least the wiring that goes into the console above the headliner. I wanted to see if anyone was interested in either, I do not have pics as of yet but the Cherokee console looks just like any other overhead console from later models but the lettering on the 'Lamp' etc is a little faded. It would also need to be recovered as it is dirty and sagging a little. The Grand Cherokee console is a little newer looking. I don't remember if it's dirty or torn. How hard are these to install? Do you need to remove the headliner and is there already wiring up there? Also, do these show your mpg? I might be interested if its simple and cheap, but that's an unlikely case.

I still have yet to install mine due to laziness and being side tracked by spending the majority of my time with my fiance... but you do have to cut some holes in your headliner to put the brackets in and slip the console in, the wiring isn't already there from what i'm aware of... hence the reason you have to pull it from the donor vehicle as well. There are a few write ups I believe on here... just gotta look. I can't imagine it's too hard to do... but don't take my word for it, I haven't done it yet. Does not show mpg though, just direction and temperature outside. And has 2 other storage units + 2 lamps for the back seat... search for "Overhead console" and it will come up with pics so you can see what it looks like.

IROC, after looking at what other consoles have sold for I would let it go for $75 + shipping. This due to the fact it will need to be recovered as the material on it now is kinda dirty and a little torn. I will include the mounting hardware (screw,braces etc) and I'm pretty sure most of the wiring is there. I know the wire that goes into the unit above the headliner is still there, the temp sensor i'll have to look. Just looked on teamcherokee.com and these little turds run $500 new... that's lame. So, $75 + shipping and the unit is yours. Let me know if you're still interested cuz i'll need to go pick it up.

There is still a grand cherokee console there as well if anyone is interested, overhead wiring is there but not sure on the temp sensor.

if you can get me some pictures of it that would be awesome. For 75 ill take it. However im going to need all the wiring for it, I believe it unplugs behind the glove box. If you can get me all the wiring uncut, the console, and the mounting hardware consider it sold.

IROC, I know it unplugs down by the dash, that's easy. And the temp sensor is easy enough to get to (if it's still there) I didn't look too hard when I was there. But it plugs into another unit kind of near the coolant tank. That's what I pulled when I got the console I have... but yet to instal yet. Just barely got the measurments to hack into my headliner for the console holes to put it in. But i'll get what I can. I wont be able to go till Saturday because I work far from the place that has it and they close by the time it would take me to get out there. I'm 95% positive it will still be there by then. I'll keep you updated.
