Well, haven't visited the board for almost a month. Burying my nephew pretty much rocked my world. Well, time to wipe my nose and get on with it.

There's a run that happens this time every year at McCaslin Mntn Campgrounds in Lakewood WI. I know a bunch of MWCers have been to this. It's informally called...the fall color run. The few of you that have been to this know how beautiful the hills up north are at this time of the year. I needed this to help heal. Good friends, good wheeling, beautiful nature around, it's almost religous.
So, I figured I would post up some pics of the group and all the colors for your viewing pleasure.

Some interesting clouds on the way up. about 40 during the day and dropped down to 25 at night.

A fellow I hadn't seen in a few years. Went to CO for 3 yrs and just returned with a built YJ.

Kim with his new rig tore the terrain up pretty good. Then he tore up his exhaust up pretty good too.

Got some more I'll post a little later. Gotta make like I'm starting work....

Thank you, guys. The support I get here is really appreciated.

Yeah, I knew they're WI4x4. Wheeled with them last yr too. Just lousy with remembering names.

Old fart syndrome. :o

Steve, sorry to hear of your loss.

Wish I could make it up there to wheel but it is harvest time in these parts and the next 6-8 weeks is pretty much booked for me now...

Thanks, Tyler.

Wish you could make up here for the FCR but I know how it goes for you farmers. You're lucky if you get any hunting time.

The spring is pretty up there too. I'll have to post up when we plan a spring run. Get a bunch of you guys to come up here in the great north woods. :)

Man, I'm sorry to hear that, prayers with you and the rest of the family.

I wish I had kept up on my fourms, I would have been up for the FCR (though I would have asked to ride along in some1 elses creep...) Maybe next year...

I am really sorry to hear about that.

Glad you were able to get out wheeling. I was supposed to be up there that weekend. Looks like a lot of fun. Going up there this weekend though.

My condolances to you and your family.

The pics are beautiful! I hope maybe to one day get my piece up there for that run. Sounds like more than a blast.

It usually is a lot of fun. Catching a ride with someone is always an option. That’s what I had to do since my pile decided to run like crap. If you're going up this weekend you probably will still have some color but they had a lot of winds and some snow fall right after we left. Don't think there will be anything but bare trees after this weekend tho.

Here’s a couple more pics while the boss isn’t looking…

And, of course, one of my favorite pics. With the way the temps dropped at night, this was your friend...

Now, I wish I had a pic of this but my card was full. Kim and the rest of the wi4x4 group have and annual golf tourney at the mini golf area at the campground. The idea of the tourney is that everyone has some clothing or other golf related outfit to wear. Kim's attire was just awesome. Even had a killer comb-over! Maybe he'll chime in with a couple of pics. I'm sure someone in wi4x4 took a pic of him. :sunshine:

That's about the best of the pics that I have. The rest are just multiple shots of the same thing and some blurry ones too.

My condolances to you and your family.

The pics are beautiful! I hope maybe to one day get my piece up there for that run. Sounds like more than a blast.

It is a blast. You're more than welcome to come on up, Josh. Like I said, we should maybe try and set up a run in the spring when things start to green up. Not as colorful as the fall but beautiful none the less. I mapped out all of the trails that are open on my laptop using my GPS attached to it. I'd love to trail lead a bunch of the MWC motley crew thru them. Maybe after winterfest I could start planning something. We'll have to see how things play out after WF.

Steve,

Sorry to hear the bad news.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
keep the faith.

Hey Steve, sorry for your loss man. I noticed you hadn't been on for a while. Got some nice pics there!

LOL!!!

You're definitely the best dressed golfer that night!!! Thank god for the 'antifreeze' otherwise you guys would have froze you azzez off! :shiver:

Looking forward to the vid of you going thru that 'puddle'. I'll try and load the one of Brian P with his nose stuck under the water. It's on my laptop at home.

Thanks Susie.

I pretty much keep occupied and do okay but then, all of a sudden, it's like getting punched in the stomach....

Can't watch CNN's salute to the troops anymore.

Steve, after I got home I looked at these pics again and it reminded me about how each wheeling trip is really not at all about the wheeling, but rather the brotherhood that that we share amongst us. I hope that as time passes the healing process will become easier for you and yoru family. As BOB said, keep the faith my friend. I will see ya at WF10, you can count on that!

Cheeseman-OUT!
