In the interest of proving that we here at NAXJA are of reasonable maturity, at least while we think that others may be watching.
I know that many of you here build or create in one way or another. I myself, a cabinet maker. Though this quote does not apply to me directly,it is none the less a favorite. This is printed inside the cover of Audels Carpenters and Builders Guide,1945.

"When we build, let us think that we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work as our descendants will thank us for; and let us think,as we lay stone on stone, that a time is to come when those stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them,"See! This our father did for us"

Memorial Plaque at the Battle of Bannockburn, Scotland:

We fight not for glory, nor wealth, or even honor. Only and alone we fight for freedom, which no good man surrenders, but with his life.
