Re: El Junky

if it splits all the way across from side to side just use zip ties. Maybe some frame stiffeners are a good idea?

It's to far gone for stiffeners... Ima try and get something else to build this winter...

Re: El Junky

oh ok. well at least youre not comitted to that body with a cage, stiffeners, and more. thats good. swap it all over to something new and fresh. go stiffeners, 2x6 rockers, and some sorta cage to hold it all together.

Dark green. Not the forest green. Pulled trans for a manual swap on my other 97 but I can also give you what ever you need from my 97 including the ECM and wiring and pedal assembly. zj leather front seats also have the rears but not installed. Cargo area interior is pulled apart. Has shackle relocators from hd. No shocks. No front bumper. Fenders front trimmed rear cut and folded. Tj 3.73 open front. 29 spline 8.25 open 3.07 in the rear. 6" shackles out back as well. Triple fans from ffdynamics. No exhaust system from the header back. Rustys t steering. If your going to swap everything back over then it's perfect. It was a daily driver until I got a work van. Then i got another rig and started pulling things off of it. Never been through any real wheeling. Basically just trying to get rid of it but I know the motor is worth a bit as its running.

Incase it wasn't clear. The one i'm getting rid of was a manual that i pulled to put in my current rig. If you want I can give u all the auto equipment from my current. ie tcm ecm wiring and pedal assembly and trans. also comes with another tcase 23 spline 231

Oh man here is another reason why I love my Dana 30...

So Thursday we wet wheeling up gatekeeper and tonka jut to get out... In the middle of wheelin my driver rear starts making this nasty metal to metal noise which I figured was dirt or some rock in the drum... It went away once we hit pavement... So we went wheeling again that night and not a bit of noise out of it... Last night we went out again and it was horrible... So I get home and pull the wheel off with the drum and couldn't find anything. So I try and pull the shaft out and it wouldn't move... So today I use my buddies big azz slide hammer and finally get it out to discover the noise....

Now what got me worried was the marking it did to the housing and metal it left in the tube...

Re: El Junky

Wow dude. I guess maybe a new outer bearing and race and just keep wheeling it until it explodes.
