So I had my Beretta M9 AFCQ today. Man, talk about a bad day to shoot. Open air range, was freakin' 20º out there. I was bummed out after we qualified though. I was two body shots short of expert. They require 6 head shots and 25 body shots for that honor. I knew I was screwed at the end. When we went to move our targets from 15 yards, to 25 yards I started counting my hits. We only had 6 shots left to finish off the round, and I had 6 headshots and 19 body shots. That means I need to hit all 6 body shots at 25 yards, keep in mind I've never shot a handgun in my life. I only managed 4. You needed 35 out of 45 hits anywhere on the target. Which was great for some people as they couldn't hit the circles for shit. But I was goin' for that expert man. Had a Captain next to me that should have failed miserably. His shit was all over the place. I imagine I would have enjoyed it much more when it was 60º and sunny yesterday though................:sunshine:

Since when is two short of expert considered crappy...............

With a pea shooter you need all that you can muster.

YA YA YA what ever. If you can't hit a moving bird with a blow gun you all suck.

Buckley Air Force Base, I was qualifying for my "duty" weapon. I'm not active duty military, but am required to carry one with the contracting position I hold. The Air Force guys call it my "duty" weapon, but I'm just a civilian. AFCQ is Air Force Combat Qualification, it was a Combat Arms course I went through.

Too much liability to shoot expert. They will have fun with that if you have to go to court for shooting someone. Always throw one or two.

X2 Good advise! Sad but true, the courts are supposed to be on our side BUT.................................................................:gag:
